Make Your Home Energy Efficient
Worried about all of your utility bills piling up? Make your home energy efficient! It’s much easier than it may seem to achieve. Here are some easy ways to do just that!
Install low-flow shower heads: These shower heads have a flow rate of less than 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm), where conventional shower heads use up to 5 gpm!
Seal All Windows: Make sure to seal any extra air leaks in and around the house. Anywhere you might feel a draft, make sure it’s fixed!
Unplug, unplug, unplug!: Always unplug any lights, chargers, or appliances you can while gone. This can definitely decrease that electricity bill at the end of the month.
Turn off water when you’re not using it: Don’t forget to turn off the water when you’re brushing your teeth or shaving! We can sometimes forget that the water is still running while we’re getting ready in the morning or at night. Also, make sure to only run your washer when there’s a full load available! Half loads can waste more water.
Steer clear from hot water: When washing clothes, make sure you have it set on the cold cycle. Even the warm cycle will do. This can save a significant amount of electricity.
